About Us

We started this blog for our family and friends to follow alongside  us on our journey, but for those who've stumbled across this page... Hello!

We're Graham and Jane and our story goes something like this:

We met in NYC and quickly fell in love with each other, but simultaneously fell out of love with our respective careers. For so many reasons and at the same time for no reason at all, asking ourselves "why not?", we decided to take off for 18 months to explore this beautiful world and the people who live in it.

Thanks for moving along with us on this journey, through what is planned and all the unplanned that is sure to come.  Welcome to our great affair!

Ireland Part II: Cliffs of Moher and the Aran Islands

July 7, 2018

We spent a few days in Ennis where we took a boat trip to Inisheer, which has a population of around 260 people.  It is the smallest of the Aran Islands. We spent the entire day walking around the island admiring the rock fences, the old ruins and the shipwreck that has been there since 1960.

Following our trip to Inisheer, we took a boat trip to see the Cliffs of Moher.  The cliffs extend 14km (9 miles) along the coast and at their highest point they are 700 feet above the ocean.  You can see the people walking on top of the cliffs to give this picture some scale.

We ended the day grabbing dinner and ice cream at Lahinch Beach, where I tested out my drone for the first time and we enjoyed a beautiful sunset.  So far it was one of our best days on our trip.
