We made the long drive up to Pula from Pitigliano and needed a starting point for our 3 weeks in Croatia. We didn't know much about Pula but after doing a little research, we found out it has one of the best roman amphitheaters so decided to check it out. It didn't disappoint.
The Temple of Augustus was built somewhere between 27 B.C. and 14 A.D.
After Pula we headed to the Plitvace lakes area but we will cover that in another post. We then made our way to Zadar and Split. We loved the small Croatian towns on the water. We walked around in the 35-40 degree heat and enjoyed the history.
