About Us

We started this blog for our family and friends to follow alongside  us on our journey, but for those who've stumbled across this page... Hello!

We're Graham and Jane and our story goes something like this:

We met in NYC and quickly fell in love with each other, but simultaneously fell out of love with our respective careers. For so many reasons and at the same time for no reason at all, asking ourselves "why not?", we decided to take off for 18 months to explore this beautiful world and the people who live in it.

Thanks for moving along with us on this journey, through what is planned and all the unplanned that is sure to come.  Welcome to our great affair!

Camino - Burgos to O'Cebreiro

October 30, 2018

It's been an eventful 2 weeks since our last post.   I've survived some pretty nasty blisters that required us to take a rest day in Burgos.  It did however give us an extra day to check out the beautiful cathedral they have there.  Construction of the cathedral started in 1221 and is a UNESCO world heritage site.

From there we made attempted to make our way by foot to Leon but Jane suffered some spider bites and we had to take a bus to the hospital there.  We got to spend the day in Leon and spent some time walking around checking out the local shops and the cathedral.

The next large city on our pilgrimage was Astorga, which offered up a building by famous Spanish architect Antoni Gaudi.

So far we have walked 492 km (307 miles).  Here are a few more pics from the last couple of weeks.
